Class of 2014 profile: 50 states, 25 nations

Approximately 1,600 members of the Class of 2014 arrived on campus this August. Nearly all graduated in the top 5 percent or 10 percent of their high school class, and more than 60 percent traveled at least 500 miles to get to WUSTL.   • Lighting improvements continue on Medical School campus. Washington University Medical Center is continuing to improve lighting around campus sidewalks this fall. Phase II of the public realm lighting project began this month with work along parts of Clayton and Newstead avenues. Work will continue until mid-December, weather permitting, throughout the medical center.

  • Men’s soccer puts unbeaten streak to test tonight. The No. 18 men’s soccer team (5-0-2) remained unbeaten following an overtime tie at Illinois Wesleyan Sept. 15 and a win over Loras College Sept. 19. The Bears will put the unbeaten record on the line tonight at 8 p.m when they face Fontbonne University at Clayton High School in Clayton, Mo.
